Who We Are

Built because support should feel personal.

Theraqy is a multidisciplinary allied health practice built on one belief: every person deserves support tailored to who they are - not who a system expects them to be.

Founded by clinicians frustrated by fragmented, transactional care, we set out to build something different. A place where therapists and clients genuinely connect. Where "unique" isn't a tagline - it's the entire philosophy.

Our Values

What we stand for.

01

Individual First

Every care plan begins with listening - understanding the whole person before a recommendation is made.

02

Genuine Connection

We match clients with practitioners by approach, personality, and fit - not just discipline.

03

Collaborative Care

Our disciplines don't work in silos. When multiple supports help, our team communicates and coordinates.

04

Evidence-Based

Everything we do is grounded in current research. Our clinicians uphold the highest professional standards.

05

Dignity & Respect

All people deserve to be seen, heard, and treated with unconditional respect - regardless of ability or background.

06

Community Presence

We bring support where people live - homes, schools, workplaces, and community settings.

The Team

Practitioners who genuinely care.

Our Story

How Theraqy came to be.

Every meaningful practice begins with a conviction that things can be done better. In 2018, a small group of clinicians gathered around a shared frustration, and a shared belief: that truly integrated, person-first allied health care was not only possible, it was necessary.

Timeline
2018

The Question That Started It All

A small group of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and psychologists began meeting informally to explore a single question: what would genuinely integrated, person-first allied health look like if it were built from scratch? Early conversations revealed a common thread, clients were falling through the gaps between disciplines, funding systems, and geography.

2020

Theraqy Opens Its Doors

With four founding clinicians, a shared clinic space, and considerably more conviction than resources, Theraqy began seeing its first clients. The name itself, a deliberate transposition of q and p, was chosen to reflect the practice’s core belief: that a shift in perspective changes everything. Be Unique.

2021

NDIS Registration Achieved

Theraqy became a registered NDIS provider, opening access to Australians living with disability across every state and territory. Mobile and telehealth delivery were embedded from the outset, removing barriers for clients in regional, rural, and remote areas.

2022

Expanding the Disciplines

Speech pathology, dietetics, exercise physiology, and support coordination were brought into the fold, each discipline selected to fill genuine clinical need within our growing client community. Caseloads were deliberately kept small to protect the quality of each therapeutic relationship.

2023

Allied Health Assistant & Support Worker Programs

Purpose-built Allied Health Assistant programs were launched, enabling clinician-designed interventions to be delivered cost-effectively in schools, homes, and community spaces. This extended Theraqy’s reach significantly, particularly for NDIS participants maximising their capacity-building funding.

2024

Theraqy.com Goes Live

The Theraqy digital platform launched, bringing together client bookings, therapist tools, the wellbeing games hub, and the Theraqy shop, creating a connected experience that extends care beyond the therapy room.

Today

Always Evolving

Theraqy remains privately owned and clinician-led. The founding mission is unchanged: make exceptional, personal, and connected allied health support genuinely accessible to every Australian who needs it. The story is still being written - and we’d like you to be part of it.
