Why Therapy Matters

One conversation can be the beginning of everything.

Therapy isn't a last resort - it is one of the most powerful investments a person can make. Whether navigating a specific challenge, rebuilding after hardship, or simply seeking to understand yourself more deeply, one-on-one support offers something remarkable: a space that belongs entirely to you.

Research consistently shows that personalised therapeutic support improves mental wellbeing, physical health outcomes, communication, and quality of life - across every age and background.

Client Stories

Words from those we've walked alongside.

"

I came to Theraqy not knowing where to start. Within a few sessions my occupational therapist helped me identify patterns I'd been carrying for years. For the first time in a long time, I have a roadmap and someone genuinely in my corner.

Sarah M.
Occupational Therapist client - Brisbane
"

My son was struggling with communication at school. His speech pathologist was patient, creative, and genuinely understood him. The progress over six months has been remarkable - our whole family noticed the difference.

James & family
Speech-Language Pathologist client - Gold Coast
"

After my injury I was told I might not return to work. My physiotherapist and the Theraqy team refused to accept that. They built a plan around my life, not a textbook. Eighteen months later, I'm back doing what I love.

Rachel T.
Physiotherapy client - Sunshine Coast

Who We Are

Built because support should feel personal.

Theraqy is a multidisciplinary allied health practice built on one belief: every person deserves support tailored to who they are - not who a system expects them to be.

Founded by clinicians frustrated by fragmented, transactional care, we set out to build something different. A place where therapists and clients genuinely connect. Where "unique" isn't a tagline - it's the entire philosophy.

Our Values

What we stand for.

01

Individual First

Every care plan begins with listening - understanding the whole person before a recommendation is made.

02

Genuine Connection

We match clients with practitioners by approach, personality, and fit - not just discipline.

03

Collaborative Care

Our disciplines don't work in silos. When multiple supports help, our team communicates and coordinates.

04

Evidence-Based

Everything we do is grounded in current research. Our clinicians uphold the highest professional standards.

05

Dignity & Respect

All people deserve to be seen, heard, and treated with unconditional respect - regardless of ability or background.

06

Community Presence

We bring support where people live - homes, schools, workplaces, and community settings.

The Team

Practitioners who genuinely care.

Our Story

How Theraqy came to be.

Every great practice starts with a frustration and a belief that things can be done better. In 2018, a small group of clinicians started asking: what would truly person-first, integrated allied health actually look like?

Timeline
2018

The Idea Takes Root

Founder Emma Wilson, after seven years in public health, began consulting with a small group of OT, physio, and psychology colleagues. Shared question: what would truly integrated, person-first care look like?

2020

Theraqy Opens Its Doors

Four clinicians, a small shared office, and more conviction than resources. The name - a deliberate q-and-p swap - reflects the belief that perspective changes everything.

2021

NDIS Registration

Theraqy became a registered NDIS provider, extending services across Australia with a focus on mobile and community-based delivery.

2022

Growing the Disciplines

Speech pathology, dietetics, exercise physiology, and support coordination joined. Capped caseloads maintained to protect quality in every therapeutic relationship.

2023

Allied Health Assistant & Support Worker Programs

Trained allied health assistants began delivering clinician-designed programs in schools, homes, and community spaces across Australia.

Today

Always Evolving

Theraqy remains privately owned and clinician-led. The mission is unchanged: make exceptional, personal, connected support genuinely accessible. The story is still being written.
